Mr. Michael Angresano
I was born and raised in metropolitan New York City until the age of 15 when my family moved to Washington, DC and then to Florida. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in English Education from the University of Florida (GO GATORS!!). After college I moved to Atlanta to begin my teaching career. I have lived in the Atlanta area for over 30 years.
I taught high school English for 16 years in Clayton and Paulding Counties before earning my Masters and my Specialist Degrees in Educational Administration. I began my administrative career in 2003 in Carroll County as an Assistant Principal and then as the Principal of Temple High. In 2008, I was offered the opportunity to be the founding principal of a College Board School in New York City. The school was a hybrid elementary/middle/high school established partly through a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Upon moving back to Georgia, I was offered the opportunity to be the assistant principal at Sweetwater Elementary. 2016-2017 will be my first year as a member of the Mirror Lake team.
Mrs. Johnson and I have worked together as assistant principals for the last three years and I know that she is an impressive leader and she is respected throughout the school system. It will be a pleasure to serve as her assistant principal. The faculty and staff of Mirror Lake also enjoy an excellent reputation throughout the school system. It does not take long to realize that it is a well deserved reputation. They are all very dedicated and talented educators and it is my privilege to work alongside them.
If I can be of any assistance to you or your student during the year please do not hesitate to contact me at 770-651-4300.
