Mrs. Sheila Compitello
I feel very fortunate to be able to say that I have spent 24 years as a school counselor in Douglas County. I spent my first 10 years in middle school counselor and then moved to Mirror Lake Elementary when it opened in 2002.
I received my Masters and Specialist Degrees in School Counseling from Georgia State University. I am a member of the Georgia School Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association which allows me to stay current in my field.
I have been married for 24 years and have three beautiful children. I honestly believe that every child has something special to share. I learn as much from the children as they learn from me and they are why I am here.
Throughout the year, I have several volunteer opportunities for parents. For instance, I am in charge of our Community Mentoring Program, Vision & Hearing Screening Program for 3rd/5th grade, Red Ribbon Week Drug Awareness Program, Canned Food Drive, etc. Please let me know if you would like to help with any of these programs. Volunteers are always welcome.
