Subjects Taught

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from The State University of West Georgia in May 2004.  I am certified to teach grades K-5.

This will be my twelfth year in the Douglas County School System.  I began my teaching career in 2004 as a second grade teacher at Holly Springs Elementary.  I began teaching first grade the following year and have enjoyed it every year thereafter.  I believe first grade is a year of tremendous growth and achievements.  I serve as a member of Mirror Lake's leadership team.

I am proud to be a Mirror Lake Miner!

I was born in Cobb County but completed most of my schooling in Douglas County.  I have lived in Douglas County for 27 years, where I attended Bill Arp Elementary School, Fairplay Middle School, and Alexander High School.  I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 14 years.  We have two beautiful daughters.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shopping, and exercising.

I honestly LOVE teaching and I believe there is no career more rewarding than that of a teacher.  I am excited about this year and the accomplishments that I anticipate from my students!  My goal is to inspire and motivate children each and every day!
